Institute of Islamic Studies
The aim of the German Evangelical Alliance’s Institute of Islamic Studies is to help face the challenge represented by Islam in Europe not only on a theological but also social and political level. It seeks to do this through information and by clarifying issues, setting out Islam’s own self-understanding derived from Islamic sources. It is hoped that such unbiased information will enable churches and society as a whole to look at Islam in the framework of comparative religion and to arrive at an objective assessment of it.
